Genesee Community College is located in the heart of scenic western New York State, minutes from Batavia, and an easy drive to Buffalo and Rochester. Founded in 1966, as part of the prestigious State University of New York, Genesee has become one of the most highly respected community colleges in the United States. Genesee offers over 60 career and transfer programs, and its faculty has a well-earned reputation for excellence. Classes are small, and professors and students get to know each other well. Genesee graduates consistently find excellent jobs or successfully transfer to other colleges and universities. The spacious campus boasts a modern arts center, a student center, an 80,000 volume state-of-the-art college library, and a technology building equipped for classes, laboratories, and conferences. Student housing and subsidized child care are available on site. Day and evening classes are also offered at campus centers conveniently located in Albion, Arcade, Dansville, Lima, Medina, and Warsaw. Genesee also offers a wide variety of classes in online and other distance learning formats.
